ABS has developed a patented, tibial knee implant for patients with medial and lateral compartment osteoarthritis of the knee. The implant is called the OrthoGlide. The unique engineering of the implant allows for stable fixation to the medial tibial plateau without bone cuts, cement, or screws. The implant is made from cobalt chrome so there are no wear or material issues. This product may be used in many cases in place of significantly more invasive total knee replacement surgery. The OrthoGlide has received US, European and Canadian regulatory clearance for commercial sale.
