Mr. Anderson is a successful entrepreneur who co-founded SciQuest, Inc. in 1995 as CEO. He left SciQuest in 2003 to join Affinergy as founding CEO.
At SciQuest, Peyton was responsible for raising capital, doing strategic partner deals, mergers & acquisitions and recruiting the management team. SciQuest raised over $175 million in 4 rounds of funding including its IPO in 1999. Peyton completed 8 acquisitions, negotiated multiple partnering deals, and served as a member of SciQuest’s Board of Directors.
Peyton is a frequent speaker at entrepreneurial conferences and business schools. He serves on the Executive Committees of the Board of Directors for both the Council for Entrepreneurial Development and the NC Medical Device Organization.
He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Richmond in 1989 and earned his MBA from UNC’s Kenan Flagler Business School in 1995.
