Cotera is a clinical-stage medical device company formed by The Foundry, a premier medical device incubator located in Menlo Park, California. The Company is pursuing a novel implantable device to treat knee pain caused by medial osteoarthritis. The device, which can be implanted in a simple 30 minute procedure, has no moving parts, preserves the joints natural anatomy, and is designed to be removable thus maintaining all future treatment options. It is intended to fill the large treatment gap that exists between conservative care modalities and highly invasive, bone-altering surgical procedures such as osteotomy or joint replacement.
