Dan Sheehan, Vice President, joined Covidien in 2008 to manage the Corporate Venture Capital function. Dan has over 20 years of experience in both venture capital investing and operating management in the Medical Technology industry. Prior to Covidien, Dan was a General Partner with Affinity Capital Management, a healthcare oriented venture capital firm in Minneapolis. Prior to Affinity, he managed the Business Development activities of Steris Corporation, a provider of infection prevention and surgical support products for the healthcare industry. Dan began his career as an investment banker with McDonald & Company Securities (now Keybank). He is a graduate of Fordham University and Columbia Business School.
