Dick Tarr joined DePuy in 1985, where he serves as Vice President of Worldwide Research and Emerging Technologies. He is responsible for research initiatives to bring new technology products to market. Prior to joining DePuy, Mr. Tarr was an Instructor in research orthopaedics and Director of the Orthopaedic Biomechanics Laboratory at the University of Southern California School of Medicine. He holds five patents on orthopaedic products and instruments and frequently speaks and publishes on orthopaedic research topics. A biomedcial engineering graduate of Northwestern University, Mr. Tarr received an MS degree in Bioengineering from Texas A&M University.
