John Matthews is Vice President Global Marketing for MicroPort Orthopedics. John has responsibility for development and implementation of the global strategic marketing plan along with oversight of MPO’s key regional marketing initiatives, while working in partnership with MPO’s R&D and Clinical leads to ensure alignment with the global strategy.
Prior to taking on this role with MPO, John was the General Manager of the Canadian subsidiary for Wright Medical Technology. John began his career in sales as an associate and then distributor for DePuy orthopaedics, as well as working in a marketing role to assist with the DePuy / Johnson & Johnson merger in Canada, before joining Wright Medical in 1994.
John received a B.P.E. degree from McMaster University, along with a B.Sc degree from Guelph University.
