Michael Ragan, Executive Director, Healthcare Investment Banking

Michael Ragan is an executive director at Morgan Stanley in the investment banking division. He is a senior member of the healthcare investment banking group and a senior coverage banker on the medical technology team. Ragan has more than 20 years of investment banking experience, advising clients on a full range of services, including mergers and acquisitions for public and private clients, initial public offerings, spin-offs, public and private equity and debt financings, convertible financings, and activism defense advisory.

Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Ragan spent nearly eight years at Piper Sandler in Minneapolis as a director and senior member of the medical technology team within healthcare investment banking where he advised emerging growth companies. Prior to Piper Sandler, Ragan spent over eight years in the healthcare investment banking groups at Jefferies and UBS in New York and San Francisco. In his early career, he also worked in the investment banking divisions at Credit Suisse First Boston in New York and at Chase Securities, a J.P. Morgan predecessor institution.

Ragan graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a double major in finance and accounting from the Mays Business School.
