Chris Lyons serves as the Vice President of Corporate Strategy for Ortho Sales Partners. Chris is a vital component of all the OSP client projects as he assists in creating and guiding the overall strategy, and work on client’s behalf during possible transaction discussions. With 30 years in the medical device industry, deep industry knowledge, relationships, and highly driven passion Chris began his own medical device consulting firm, Southern Metrics in 2017, as well as, joining the ranks of Ortho Sales Partners this year, where he continues to influence positive commercialization and exit outcomes for the companies in which Ortho Sales Partners is engaged.
Beginning his career at Smith and Nephew in 1989, Chris held numerous marketing product management roles, sales force roles, launching critical products and engaging surgeon customers, while creating intellectual property for the operation. Chris joined Medtronic Spine and Biologics in 2005, with the first three years focused on expanding the Biologics portfolio globally. For almost 10 years Chris led the Business Development operation for the company, focusing on Spine and Biologic opportunities regarding acquisitions, investment, and license and distribution agreements. He also serves as past chairman of the board for the Southeast Medical Device Association (SEMDA), and present board member.
