SweetBio, Inc.
Kayla Rodriguez Graff, CEO & Co-founder

SweetBio is a Memphis, Tennessee based, commercial-ready medical device company with FDA-cleared, honey-incorporated wound care products. Our first product line, APIS®, includes resorbable patches that are the first to combine the potential effectiveness of an advanced dressing with the convenience of a traditional dressing and the known benefits of Manuka honey. APIS® products are indicated for ulcers, burns, surgical sites and more, and intended to protect the wound, manage exudate and provide an environment ideal for healing. While the $11B U.S. wound care industry is known to be crowded, a chasm exists between the inexpensive yet inefficient traditional gauzes and ointments including pure honey, and the effective yet high-priced and hard-to-use skin substitutes. APIS® was intentionally designed with SweetBio’s patented technology for ideal performance, ideal handling and affordability to ultimately lower the burden of care. Cleared in May 2019, APIS® is currently in a limited commercial release. SweetBio is a proud alum of the Springboard Enterprises Health Innovation Hub 2019 cohort, graduate of the ZeroTo510 and LaunchTN accelerator programs, finalist in Steve Case’s 2018 Rise of the Rest tour and was recently highlighted in Forbes and on 60 Minutes.
