Harry “Skip” Kiil is president of the Cranial & Spinal Technologies (CST) operating unit at Medtronic, which includes Spine & Biologics, Enabling Technologies, intelligent Data Solutions, and China Cranial, Spinal, and Orthopedics Technologies. Together, these businesses employ more than 5,000 employees worldwide. Skip has more than 20 years of global leadership experience in spine and orthopedics. Before joining Medtronic, Skip was president of the global orthopedics business at Smith+Nephew. Previously, he served as executive vice president and president of Global Commercial Operations at NuVasive, Inc., and as surgical head, Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Russia, in the Alcon Eye Care Division of Novartis Corporation. Before joining Alcon, Skip spent 12 years with Stryker Corporation, where he held several leadership roles, including vice president and general manager for Europe, and general manager for Japan. Skip earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from California State University, Fullerton, and an MBA from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business. He lives in Southern California with his wife, Marianne, and their three children, Jackson, Abby, and Brooklynn.
