NovaLign™Orthopaedics, Inc., formerly known as OsteoLign, Inc., is a venture backed orthopaedic trauma company located in Memphis, Tennessee. The company was founded in 2004 within The Innovation Factory, a Duluth, Georgia-based technology incubator. In 2009, NovaLign obtained FDA clearance to market its Intramedullary Fixation System, a new system of implants and instruments for the treatment of long bone fractures, including the femur, tibia and humerus. This regulatory clearance allows NovaLign to enter the intramedullary fracture fixation market, estimated to be over $1 billion in the United States by 2012. NovaLign has filed multiple U.S. and foreign patent applications related to its technology. To date, NovaLign has raised approximately $14 million in venture capital from leading venture capital companies including Versant Ventures (Menlo Park), SV Life Sciences (Boston) and Accuitive Medical Ventures (Duluth).
