Peter (Pete) Shagory is Executive Vice President, Strategy & Corporate Development at CONMED Corporation, a global medical technology company specializing in less-invasive surgical solutions across general surgery and orthopedics. In this role, he leads corporate strategy, mergers and acquisitions, business development, acquisition integration and strategic planning initiatives across the organization. Pete also holds commercial leadership responsibility for CONMED’s ICU-focused Patient Care portfolio and oversaw commercial leadership of CONMED’s Therapeutic GI business unit prior to its divestiture in 2026. Prior to joining CONMED in 2015, Pete spent 25 years in healthcare/life sciences venture capital, investment banking and business development. Throughout his career, he has worked extensively with public and private companies, Investing in and advising companies on growth opportunities, portfolio strategy and value creation initiatives. Pete is based in the Chicago area and holds an undergraduate degree in Finance from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and an MBA from the Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College.
